Love is Healing

"I think we grow up thinking the only love that counts as true love is the kind that lasts forever or is fully realized. When you have a broken heart, the first thing a stranger will ask is ‘how long were you two together?’ As if your pain can be determined by how long you were with someone. Or if you were with them at all. I don’t think that’s how it works. I think unrequited love is just as valid as any other kind. It’s just as crushing and just as thrilling. No matter what happens in this situation, I want you to remember that what you are doing is selfless and beautiful and kind. You are loving someone purely because you love them, not because you think you’ll ever have your affections reciprocated. You are admiring something for its beauty, without needing to own it. Feel good about being the kind of person who loves selflessly. I think someday you’ll find someone who loves you in that exact same way."

Truth

“The truth is that our finest moments are most likely to occur when we are feeling deeply uncomfortable, unhappy, or unfulfilled. For it is only in such moments, propelled by our discomfort, that we are likely to step out of our ruts and start searching for different ways or truer answers.”
- M. Scott Peck

Soul Need

What do you crave? How do you want to feel? When you peel back the layers of what you think you should be doing, what is it that you really want to be doing? And when were you going to revisit those things? Tiny time fillers and lists and details. Do they ultimately matter? Why is it that so many of us must become sick or shattered by a larger, unforseen event before we even consider what we truly, individually need on a deeper level?

Plunge into yourself and listen to your cravings. They're alive. And so are you.

- Victoria Erickson

Be Happy

"Follow you heart wherever it takes you and be happy. Life is brief and very fragile and is only loaned to us for a while. Wake up every morning with the thought that something wonderful is about to happen and take one day at a time."
~ Shaun Stephenson

You are Enough Now

"Each of us who dares to reach in and pull out what is truly ourselves brings a new way of seeing into the world. You may not be saying something that multitudes before you haven't said, but the way you say it, the particular spin you put on it, colored and tempered by by your own unique life experience, allows some to hear it for the first time."

– Hal Zina Bennett

Focus

Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life - think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success.
